A gallery of pictures depicting control line models and related paraphenalia, sent in by readers of Australian Control Line Nostalgia.

1.  The pictures in this strip come from Rob Edgerton, illustrating the modelling scene in Queensland around the late nineteen fifties and later.  His first photo was taken at the Panthers MAC field on Ipswich Rd Oxley circa 1957. Rob is seated on the left with Wayne Huggins wearing the felt hat at back left, and Rob's younger brother, Graham, at rear.

4.  A young Peter Anderson with his plane that dad built, a Fox .35 powered "Tucker Special".  This picture was taken at Thunderbirds field in September 1999, when Peter was13.  He was coming along well as a pilot and had just won a Club handicap stunt day, but shortly after moved to Sydney with his family.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5.  John Lewis sometime in the early nineteen seventies with his Supermaster, a Josef Gabris design from about 1966.  John is President of the Brisbane FF Society in 2008.
